The Stanford patio dining chair is a robust and sturdy chair. The design is sophisticated and timeless, offering generous and comfortable seating. A good choice if high winds are a factor.
The Stanford patio dining chair is made in Cape Town from solid iroko timber. Also known as African teak, iroko is a dense and durable timber that ranges in colour from yellow to light brown, and darkens to a rich grey-brown as the wood ages. Like teak, the wood has a high natural oil content, which makes it highly suitable for full outdoor use without any form of further treatment required. If exposed to the elements the wood weathers over time to a pleasing silver-grey tone. Oiling is entirely optional and we use a top-quality Danish oil by ProNature as our standard finish, which produces a soft matt sheen and a lightly ‘washed’ appearance to the timber. The oil also acts as a sealing agent, protecting the timber from grease stains that result from food and wine spills.
This Stanford patio dining chair is designed to complement the Stanford Patio Dining Table, but is equally suitable for use with any of our patio table designs.

We offer seat pad cushions to be made in the colour of your choice. All our cushions are wrapped with Dacron and include a lined inner cover for easy removal of the exterior cushion cover. We use a high quality Italian outdoor fabric for our cushion covers. The fabric is machine washable, sun-proof and mould resistant, and comes with a five year guarantee against sun-damage.
