The Karoo Patio Set is made exclusively from solid iroko timber. Also known as African teak, iroko is a dense and durable timber that ranges in colour from yellow to light brown, and darkens to a rich grey-brown as the wood ages. Like teak, the wood has a high natural oil content, which makes it highly suitable for full outdoor use without any form of further treatment required. If exposed to the elements the wood weathers over time to a pleasing silver-grey tone.
The Karoo cushions consists of a 10cm solid foam base cushion, with a tapered, solid foam backrest cushion. We taper the backrest cushions for greater levels of comfort. All our cushions are wrapped with Dacron and include a lined inner cover for easy removal of the exterior cushion cover. We use a high quality Italian outdoor fabric for our cushion covers. The fabric is machine washable, sun-proof and mould resistant, and comes with a five year guarantee against sun-damage.
